The
Highwind Ski Resort
Under the ownership of Giselle
and the Ormand Family, the resort is St. Laurent's
main tourist attraction and a world class vacation
getaway. Giselle and her former partner, Gene Sorenson,
built the Highwind from the ground up and nurtured
it into the success it has become. |

The
Mountains
The Diamond Peaks are where
the Highwind guests go to hit the slopes. The
Highwind's ski shop offers supplies, lessons,
and lifts to these difficult ski trails and hiking
paths.

Lake
Logan
Located at the edge of town,
the lake is something straight out of a postcard.
It is gorgeous in the winter when it's frozen
solid, and warm enough in the summer to spend
the day catching rays at its edge.

Highwind
Crossings
These cabin-style homes are
available for rent from the Highwind. The rustic
appearance is a stylish draw, but don't judge
the book by its cover. Inside, they're furnished
with only the most modern of amenities. Residents
of the complex have access to a community gym
and indoor pool.

Channel
4 News Office
The news office covers all the
happenings fit to air, and then some. The operation
is headed up by Vincent Guthrie, but also employed
at the station are Benton Bradley, Charlie Guthrie,
and Sonya Cortes. |

|
The
Bel Ami Club
The Bel Ami Club is a pet
project Beau and Remy Ormand, who hail it as their
first successful business venture. They've carved
out a name for themselves by creating one of the
hottest spots in town for the younger crowd of
St. Laurent.

The
Diamond Café & Bookstore
This small, local coffeeshop
serves as a haven for those seeking a good read,
good java, or simply a quiet place to find some
peace of mind.

St.
Laurent Community Hospital
The hospital is an extremely
modern facility updated with the latest in medical
technology. Surprising, considering the size of
the town. Included among its helpful medical staff
is Tisha Bradley, a longtime nurse and respected
community member.

|
The
Police Department
The St. Laurent Police department
isn't exactly accustomed to hunting down rapists
and murderers on a daily basis, but those parking
violations don't write themselves. Officer Jasper
Kent is among the humble number of police officers
protecting the town from the likes of serial jaywalkers
and underage partiers.

Ormand
Manor
This stately home houses Giselle
Ormand and her sons. The sprawling estate sits
atop a hill just across the way from the Highwind
Resort, and is just as closely guarded by the
Highwind security guards. Don't expect the grand
tour anytime soon.

The
Guthrie Home
Formerly home to Vincent Guthrie.
When he remarried and moved back in with his ex,
Giselle Ormand, he gave the place to his son, Charlie. |

St. Laurent
Nestled at the border of
Vermont and New Hampshire, St. Laurent is a smaller,
but well-known New England ski community. Tourists flock
from around the country to experience some of the best
ski slopes in the states.
Tourism drives the local economy, and the small town
has expanded greatly with the success of the Highwind
Resort. Shops, inns, and diners continue to spring up
around town in healthy supply.
During the summer, the crowd tends to thin out, but
the locals still enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Those looking
to kick it up a notch can find the more urban, youthful
scene several miles out of town. Clubs and malls line
the highway between St. Laurent and its closest neighbor,
the more industrial town of Ridgemont.
